Vonda Carter is a Georgia native, born and raised in LaFayette, Georgia. She obtained her ABJ from the University of Georgia while also participating in Army ROTC. After graduation and commissioning, she served as a Military Intelligence officer, stationed in Fort Huachuca, Arizona; Nurnberg, Germany; and Augsburg, Germany. After leaving the US Army, she returned to Marietta where she raised two daughters. As an empty nest approached, Vonda attended the paralegal program at Kennesaw State University, completing the program in 2004. She found her passion as a medical malpractice/nursing home paralegal while working at a law firm in Atlanta (where she also met and worked with Dennis Cathey!). She has worked as a medical malpractice paralegal at Cathey and Strain for eight years. Vonda interacts with our clients with kindness and care, knowing that compassion helps them through difficult circumstances.
